A plaque in honor of Michael Brown will replace the teddy bears,
candles and flowers piled on the street where he was gunned down by a
Missouri cop.
The father of the slain teen and Ferguson’s mayor announced the new shrine on Wednesday — Brown’s birthday.
“There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my son,”
Michael Brown Sr. said at a news conference. “We're just really trying
to move forward.”
Michael Brown was 18 in August 2014 when he was killed during a confrontation with Officer Darren Wilson.
The death of the unarmed teen and a grand jury’s decision not to charge
Wilson with a crime sparked outrage across the nation, leading to the
